DO YOU KNOW A COUSTEAU KID?
Cousteau Society founder Captain Jacques-Yves Cousteau believed that the future rests in the hands of young people. Kids ages 8-12 who join the Cousteau Society explore nature and science around the world in every issue of Cousteau Kids! Recent issues of Cousteau Kids featured fascinating creatures like boxfishes, stonefishes, crocodiles, and sea jellies, as well as exciting Cousteau expeditions to Antarctica and the Sea of Cortez. Join the Cousteau Society as a Cousteau Kids member for only $20 a year, and join tens of thousands of members who are working to save the Water Planet. Members receive a one-year subscription (six issues) of the colorful bimonthly magazine. Cousteau Kids is also available with a Family membership in the Cousteau Society. For $40 a year, this award-winning children´€™s publication will be accompanied by the quarterly membership publication Calypso Log, which addresses crucial environmental issues and Society activities in more depth.
TEACHERS:
You can become a member of the Cousteau Society and receive your very own class set of Cousteau Kids! Our SPECIAL COUSTEAU IN THE CLASSROOM PROGRAM delivers the award-winning magazine to your classroom for just $60 a year. Cousteau Kids brings the ocean to life for all of your students - and there´s no sharing necessary! We´€™ll send enough copies of Cousteau Kids for an entire classroom of 30 students. Plus, Teaching Guides for each issue are published online at www.cousteaukids.org to help make the most of the subjects, enhance reading strategies, and help parents find new ways to connect with the classroom. Four reproducible student activities complement the Teaching Guide.
