International Festival of Underwater Images and Adventure - Mediterranea 2013
Organized by the Antibes Office of Tourism and Equipe Cousteau, Mediterranea is a true window on the “silent world” and a major hub for exploration. This event is firmly oriented toward sustainable development and the preservation of the oceans.
The fourth edition of the Festival Mediterranea will settle from December 4 to 8, 2013 into the new convention center in Juan-les-Pins
This year again, the lovers of the sea will be spoiled for choice between the projections of more than one hundred films. The films will be competing for the “Golden Mediterranea” prize, ultimate reward.
A seminar dedicated for diving supervisors, will be held by specialists who will discuss various topics in the fields of medicine, technology, legislation and materials.
Numerous exhibitions will delight the public: photos, underwater archeology, ancient material in a “village of diving”, will allow everyone to complete this journey into images legends. Not to be missed: the exhibition retracing the oceanographic cruises of Prince Albert I of Monaco and on Easter Island and Equipe Cousteau's new program to restore Easter Island ecosystem.
Three days are dedicated to children and schools which will have a private access to the exhibitions and special film screenings. In addition, 120 try dives will be offered to children on saturday 7.
