Created in 1973 by Captain Jacques-Yves Cousteau, the Cousteau Society communicates the beauty and fragility of our water planet, believing that an informed and alerted public can best make the choices to insure a healthy and productive world. As a member of the Cousteau Society, you will receive the Calypso Log, our full-color quarterly magazine that features reports on Society activities and environmental issues, interviews with leading thinkers, photography by Cousteau teams, and much more. With a Family Membership, you will also receive our award-winning Cousteau Kids, a spectacularly illustrated bimonthly magazine that introduces young readers to life in and around the sea. For young people, there is a Cousteau Kids membership that sends them the magazine every other month throughout the year.
