Award winners - Mediterranea 2012

The International Festival of Underwater Picture and Adventure which was held from March 30 to April 1 in Antibes Juan-les-Pins (France) and gathered as usual many fans of the sea and its underwater landscapes.

Again this year, visitors had choice between scientific seminar, film screenings, photo and painting exhibitions, archeology, history of diving and diverse stands. Almost 120 children made their first dive, offered by the regional committee of the French federation of underwater sports (FFESSM). 50 films and 60 photographers were also competing for the 2012 Mediterranea awards. The awards were presented by the Minister of Forein and European Affairs and Mayor of Antibes-Juan les Pins, Jean Léonnetti, Francine Cousteau and Bruce Paisner, President & CEO International Academy of Arts and Science television (Emmy awards) among others.
