Calypso Log: Interview with Claude Wesly, the first Cousteau oceanaut


Claude Wesly, the first oceanaut and a former member of The Cousteau Society. In 1963, he lived underwater for a month at Shab Rumi, off Sudan, during the Conshelf II experiment directed by Captain Cousteau. The “World Without Sun”, a documentary film about this underwater exploration, won an Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature.
